This is only the beginning.
There was a time when I thought success meant climbing the corporate ladder.
For almost 20 years, I worked as a designer, chasing the next promotion, the next salary increment, the next milestone.
But deep down, something felt... incomplete.
Back in 2019, I knew I wanted to build something of my own.
I attended entrepreneurship courses.
I brainstormed countless business ideas.
I tried to force myself to "find my passion."
Nothing clicked.
Not because I wanted to become a healer.
Not because I wanted to start a spiritual business.
Simply because I wanted to heal and help others as well.
Along the way, I discovered oracle cards, tarot, and energy healing.
For the first time in years, I wasn't building something because it looked profitable.
I was building something because it felt meaningful.
May 2024 — my very first GlowGloom pop-up booth at Katong Square.
July 2024 — My first collaboration with Crane Joo Chiat.
November 2024 — I made my first appearance at the Aetheria Soul Gathering Event.
Every conversation...
Every reading...
Every person I met...
Confirmed one thing:
GlowGloom wasn't just a business.
It became a space where people felt seen, heard, and safe.
And somehow...
It was healing me too.
Then came the biggest leap.
In September 2025, I walked away from a career that had been my identity for nearly two decades.
It wasn't easy.
I questioned myself.
I worried about finances.
I wondered if I was making the biggest mistake of my life.
But I also realised something.
Life isn't only about working harder.
It's not only about promotions, bigger paychecks, endless consumption, or constantly competing.
There comes a point where you ask yourself:
"What am I actually building my life around?"
For me, the answer was simple.
Connection.
Healing.
Creating.
Learning.
Sharing.
That's why I created GlowGloom.
I don't have everything figured out.
I don't know exactly what the future holds.
But for the first time, I feel like I'm walking toward my true north instead of running on someone else's map.
If you've ever felt like you're outgrowing the life you've built...
Maybe it's not a sign that you're lost.
Maybe it's a sign that you're finally ready to begin.
This is only the beginning.
